A Note of Gratitude from President Philip J. Hanlon ’77
“I am immensely grateful to be part of a caring, generous community committed to the wellbeing of our students and our world.”
When I arrived at Dartmouth for my first term nearly half a century ago, I soon realized I was somewhere very special. The academic rigor was intense, and the spirit of camaraderie among my fellow students was unlike anything I had experienced. But there was something even more extraordinary about Dartmouth: I realized I had joined a family where we look out for one another and each generation cares fervently about the next.
During this week when we pause to reflect on the gifts in our lives, I want to thank everyone in the Dartmouth community for your unwavering support of our students. Every year—including two years of living through a global pandemic—you mentor our students and help them launch their careers. You give generously to ensure they have the finest education possible. You continue the Dartmouth legacy.
More than ever, I am immensely grateful to be part of a caring, generous community committed to the wellbeing of our students and our world. Thank you.
The Call to Lead campaign touches all corners of the Dartmouth campus and benefits all of our students every day. Here's a sampling of what we have accomplished thanks to your generosity.
