Gifts made any time of the year help transform the lives of our students. The final weeks leading up to December 31, however, offer a final opportunity to receive a tax benefit for the current year while you generously help make sure every undergraduate can realize his or her full potential at Dartmouth.

Whether you direct your giving to the Dartmouth College Fund—the leading source of financial aid for our students—or to one of The Call to Lead campaign priorities, the gift you make in December will benefit our students throughout the year.
Read on for common ways to give, and the deadlines to realize a 2018 tax benefit for your gift:
Online
You can give online to The Call to Lead campaign to support the Dartmouth College Fund or dozens of campaign initiatives. Online gifts must be made prior to midnight eastern standard time on December 31 to receive 2018 tax credit.

With these two steps, you can make a gift using your smartphone:
1.) Type 52014 in the “to” field;
2.) type “@dcf #text” as the message. Texted gifts—possible only within the U.S.—must be made prior to midnight eastern standard time on December 31 to receive 2018 tax credit.
Phone
You can make a credit card gift by calling 603-646-3621 or 800-228-1769 by noon eastern standard time on December 31 to receive 2018 tax credit. The office will be closed on December 24 and 25, and December 29 and 30.
To receive 2018 tax credit, mailed checks must be postmarked by December 31. Checks sent via UPS, FedEx, or other package service must be received and signed for by December 31 to receive 2018 tax credit.
If you mail a credit card number to make a gift, it must be received by noon eastern standard time on December 31 to be processed in time to receive 2018 tax credit.
