Quantitative Social Science (QSS)

The power of quantitative methods in the Social Sciences

Established in 2015, Quantitative Social Science (QSS) is home to an array of courses, undergraduate research opportunities, and co-curricular activities. The program provides undergraduates with an educational experience that integrates modern quantitative and computational methods focused on the substance of a social science discipline. The QSS curriculum places a strong emphasis on original research. All students working toward a minor or major must complete an independent research project, building statistical acumen that enables them to thrive in a variety of academic and professional settings. Examples of innovative undergraduate courses include Data Visualization, Sports Analytics,United States History through Census Data, and the Science of Anarchy.
