Thayer School Experiential Learning Fund

Support hands-on learning for students working alongside faculty-in a variety of laboratories, clinics, and ecosystems.

An endowment to support experiential learning for Thayer undergraduates will provide funding in perpetuity for transformative, hands-on learning opportunities where students work alongside faculty-mentors. You can support project-based courses such as Introduction to Engineering (Engineering 21), where small groups of students solve real-world problems, or Engineering Design Methodology and Project Initiation (Engineering 89/90). Your gift can provide opportunities for undergraduates to conduct research with faculty; support non-credit, skill-based courses, such as technical writing or small engines workshop; or sponsor career treks for students to tour companies and network with alumni—and see the roles engineers play in a variety of organizations.
