The Dartmouth Center for the Advancement of Learning (DCAL)'s social impact practicum partners students with local nonprofits to create solutions with a real-world impact. Students collaborate through experiential learning and develop new levels of expertise. For example, a Sociology course on the Quantitative Analysis of Social Data worked with an Upper Valley food pantry’s survey data to help them better understand their audience and impact. With your support, DCAL will help faculty integrate social impact practica into their courses. Our goal of $40,000 could fund up to a dozen new course integrations.
